New York, NY (EETV) - Auburn University Associate Head Basketball Coach Chuck Person has been indicted and fired.
Person has been formally charged on six federal bribery charges in a Manhattan courthouse on Tuesday afternoon, according to ESPN.
Person was first charged in September on several charges including conspiracy to commit bribery and wire fraud after he took bribes for steering players toward certain financial advisory deals once they left college. He was been suspended without pay from the university since.
Now, he has been officially fired from the university.
The charges come as part of the FBI's continued investigation into college basketball. Former NBA and college referee Rashan Michel was also indicted Tuesday.
