AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Tornadoes in the Lee County area have killed at least 14 people, Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones said Sunday evening.
East Alabama Medical Center says they have received over 40 patients and have also sent patients to neighboring hospitals. All elective procedures have been cancelled for Monday.
Tornadoes hit Beauregard and Smiths Station and damage is widespread.
Lee County Schools will be closed Monday due to the storms.
The Alabama Emergency Management Agency said several roads in the county are also closed.
