AUBURN, Ala. - In a message to students, Parking Services announced updates from the Transportation Services Office regarding transit routes, communication and parking registration.
The office's primary way of communicating with students will transfer from email to social media. Students must follow their social media accounts for information on lot closures, traffic flows or disruptions. They can also reach the office by phone or email with questions not answered on social media.
The office has also updated Tiger Transit routes for the 2019 school year. The new routes include Samford-Shug Jordan, West Glenn, East Glenn and Fine Arts.
Some routes will no longer be available beginning this fall. These routes include Opelika Road, East Parking-AU Hotel, East University, Night Transit Service, Tiger Ten and Wire Road.
In the email to students, the Transportation Services Office says the changes were made based on utilization of the routes so the office can better serve students.
The office says they improved the student parking registration process based on feedback and research. Students will register at a specific time based on permit type and Auburn University credit hours.
The office provided a feedback form for students to share thoughts and suggestions. All of the changes will go into effect on August 1.
