Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - The gravel lot at the corner of Hemlock and Linden will not be open to students for the foreseeable future.
Due to erosion in the gravel lot, parking services is closing the lot until the issue can be repaired.
After making the necessary repairs, the lot will be used by the City of Auburn Fire Department as a temporary fire station while construction is being performed on the main fire station at the corner of Magnolia and Ross.
In an email to students, parking services stated, "There are ample spaces in the paved portion of the RO/C lot to offset the loss of the RO/C parking in this area."
There is no timeframe on when the lot will reopen to those with Resident Overflow and Commuter parking permits
