ALABAMA (EETV) - Doug Jones has won the Special Democratic Primary for the Senate seat previously held by now Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
Jones, a lawyer, previously served as a U.S. Attorney during the Clinton Administration.
Alabama has not had a Democratic representative in the U.S. Senate in 20 years.
Jones will face the winner of a runoff election between Luther Strange (I) and Roy Moore.
General election will be held on December 12.
