AUBURN, ALA. (EETV) – Nestled just a few blocks from campus is a local favorite restaurant, Amsterdam Café. Students this school year won’t even have to go that far to get a turkey wrap or chicken salad melt, as Amsterdam Café’s food truck is coming to campus.
Vice President for Student Affairs, Dr. Bobby Woodard confirmed the news on Twitter with a photo of the new truck.

Chef Blake Cleveland says the truck is a way to expand the popular restaurant. “Food trucks are sweeping the nation, it will be easier for folks to grab and go in between classes and meetings.”
The truck hopes to distinguish itself from other campus dining locations by offering “healthier options, a few fresher options” while keeping the wait times down.
While the truck will feature signature items that have made the restaurant so popular, one item exclusive to the truck will be chocolate chip cookie dough egg rolls.
According to the food truck’s website, the full menu includes turkey wraps, crab cake and avocado sandwiches, roast beef wraps, chicken salad melts, lobster egg rolls, tuna lettuce wraps, rum salmon salads, cobb salads, and chocolate chip cookie dough egg rolls.
Like other trucks on campus, the Amsterdam Café truck will rotate its location weekly. The truck launches on the first day of classes, August 21.
