Two men attacked, 1 robbed in Downtown Auburn

Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - The Auburn Police Division responded to two separate overnight incidents involving male victims that were approached and subsequently assaulted in an attempt to rob the victims.

At approximately 10:00 p.m., a 23-year-old male subject was assaulted in the 100 block of N. Donahue Dr. Property was taken from the victim in this incident. 

At approximately 12:30 a.m., a 21-year-old male was assaulted in the 100 block of N. College St. No property was obtained in this incident. 

In both incidents, the suspects are described as three males in their late teens or early twenties. The victims were walking alone and intoxicated when they were assaulted.

The Auburn Police Division encourages anyone having information related to these incidents or any suspicious activity or persons call (334) 501-3100 or 911 to report it immediately. Additionally, we would like to remind members of the campus community:

  • When walking at night, always walk in groups, in well-lit and well-traveled areas.
  • Avoid using short-cuts that are secluded.
  • When intoxicated, use designated drivers, call a taxi, or call a sober friend rather than driving or walking while impaired.
