AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Mell Classroom Building had its official ribbon cutting ceremony Friday afternoon. The ceremony was led by Provost Dr. Tim Boosinger, Dr. Steven Leath, Auburn's president, Michael DeMaioribus of the Board of Trustees, and Jacqueline Keck, the president of SGA.
The ceremony was well attended by students, faculty, and the community. The new building features 26 classrooms, group collaboration tables, digital screens, monitors with glass boards, and web-based resources.
The building is the result of a $35million major investment in learning to foster innovative and active learning experiences.
Auburn President Steven Leath said, "Auburn students will learn in a new way because professors are able to teach in a new way."
