Orange Beach, Ala. (EETV) - Auburn prepares to open their SEC Tournament play against Florida.
The Tigers, making their 17th straight appearance in the tournament and 22nd overall, come in with a 7-5-5 record along with 4-2-4 in SEC play to face the Florida Gators (13-5-0, 7-3-0 SEC) on Tuesday Afternoon with kickoff scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
Auburn is the number six seed after posting a season conference record of 4-2-4, earning a first-round bye.
Florida holds a 16-9-1 advantage all-time over the Tigers, but Auburn has won three straight matches and four out of the last five against the Gators.
The Auburn defense was one of the tops in the conference, ranking tied for second with five shutouts during conference play, which matched a program record.
The Tigers also ranked fourth in goals-against average (0.83) and tied for fourth in goals allowed (nine).
Dodson continues to etch her name in the record books with career records which include, goals (29), assists (27), points (85), and game-winning goals (10).
On the other side of the pitch, the Florida Gators finished the regular season with a 7-3-0 record in conference play earning the No. 3 seed in the SEC Tournament.
The Gators have won each of the last two and three out of five SEC Tournaments held in Orange Beach, Ala.
The winner of Tuesday’s match will move on to the semifinals and face the winner of the Texas A&M vs. Missouri on Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. CT.
