AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - On Oct 19, Award-winning author and biologist will be discussing his book, "The Serengeti Rules: The Quest to Discover How Life Works and Why it Matters."
His book is discussing efforts of early scientists to answer basic questions about how life works and how the rules they discovered apply to life at different scales, that being molecules in the human body to the delicate balance of zebras and lions in the African savannah.
Carrol is a member of various organizations, he is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Philosophical Society, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
There will be a reception and book signing at 5 p.m. prior to the lecture. The lecture will take place in the Sciences Center Auditorium Atrium at 6 p.m. on Oct 19. This event is free and is open to the public.
