Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - Award winning journalist and author of "Enrique's Journey" Sonia Nazario will be speaking at Auburn University on October 17th.
Nazario, who is a Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist and a New York Time's bestselling author will give a lecture to guests and students on "Understanding immigration and life on both sides of the border."
Students who take Giovanna Summerfield and Iulia Pittman's Global Fluency and Awareness class will get to hear the journalist and author speak in a more personal setting. The lecture will be at 11 a.m. in the Mell classroom building in room 2510 on October 17th. Guests are welcome, but there will be a capacity of 166 people total. There are 75 students in the class.
Nazario who is described to be an ardent activist for immigration will be speaking publicly on October 17th at 6 p.m. in 1103 Shelby Center.
