Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - Auburn Defensive Coordinator Kevin Steele has been nominated for the Broyles Award given to college football's top assistant coach.
Steele is one of the 56 nominated for this award.
Steele's defensive unit takes the spot at No. 3 in the SEC in scoring defense (16.9) and No. 4 in total defense (103.2 yards).

From the nominees, fifteen semi-finalists will be chosen and five finalists will travel to Little Rock, Arkansas on Dec. 5 for the announcement of the Broyles Award winner.
