Columbus, S.C. (EETV) - No. 9 Auburn swimming and diving teams came away with a win against South Carolina at their first away dual meet of the season Saturday.
Both the men and women's teams claimed first place with the men's score of 164-131, and women's score of 166.5-133.5.
The women's first-place 400-medley relay included Aly Tetzloff, Carly Cummings, Bailey Nero and Julie Meynen touching at 3:41.44. Other standouts included Falconer who won the 200 free (1:49.60) and 500 free (4:56.81) as well as Zoe Thatcher in 1000 free (10:08.10) and Caroline Baddock in the 200 back (1:58.82).
The men also claimed victory in the 400-medley relay with Hugo Gonzalez, Tommy Brewer, Santiago Grassi and Peter Holoda touching at 3:15.84.
Zach Apple picked up a total of three wins in his sprint freestyle events, swimming the 50 in 20.61, 100 in 49.74 and 200 free in 1:47.88. Petter Fredriksson also picked up wins in both the 100 (49.74) and 200 (1:47.88) backstroke.
Auburn also took the top spot in both the men's springboard events. Pete Turnham won the 1-meter with a 345.30 and Scott Lazeroff won the 3-meter with a 385.50, both being their season bests.
Next, Auburn's women will compete at the Georgia Tech Invitational, Nov. 16-18, while the men will compete at the Georgia Invitational, Dec. 1-3.
