Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - Women's Basketball plays back-to-back games this weekend, but with a twist. The Tigers start play Friday night at Louisiana-Lafayette and return to the Auburn Arena to take on the Southern Jaguars on Saturday afternoon.
This back-to-back play at different sites game arrangement is unusual for Auburn and has not happened since the 2003-04 season.
Auburn comes into this weekend's play off of a big road win at Indiana this past Sunday. The Tigers are 5 and 3 on the season and are led by senior Janiah McKay, averaging 16.5 points per game, and sophomore Dasia Alexander who scored a career best of 25 points against Indiana.
Louisiana-Lafayette comes into the game 3 and 5 but is 0-2 against SEC teams this season. The Ragin' Cajuns are averaging 60.5 points per game but average giving up 70.6 points.
Auburn vs. ULL can be heard on WTGZ 93.9 FM or AuburnTigers.com Friday at 7 p.m. The faceoff against Southern can be seen on the SEC Network Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and be heard on AuburnTigers.com.
Saturday's game is a double-header and fans attending the men's game are encouraged to stay for the women's. Fans can also get in for free if they bring a donation of one new, unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots Drive.
