Auburn, Ala. (EETV) - After going 1-1 this past week, Auburn basketball falls to No. 19 from No. 17 in this week's AP Poll.
The Crimson Tide snapped the Tigers 14-game win streak Wednesday, handing Auburn their first conference loss 76-71.
Auburn rebounded Saturday with a 14-point comeback win over Georgia 79-65 at home.
Despite their drop in the rankings, Auburn is still the highest ranked SEC team in the nation. No. 20 Florida and No. 22 Tennessee round out conference teams in the top 25.
With their loss to Alabama, Auburn (5-1) fell to second in the SEC. No. 20 Florida (6-1) took a half-game lead over the Tigers in the conference.
Alabama (5-2) follows closely behind Auburn to round out the top-3 teams in the SEC.
This week, Auburn is, once again, set to play two conference games. First, the Tigers will travel to Mizzou Wednesday. They will return home Saturday to take on LSU.
Tip-off against Mizzou (Jan. 24) will be 8 p.m. Auburn will tip-off Saturday (Jan. 27) against LSU at 5 p.m.
Both games will be broadcast on the SEC Network. Admission is free for all homes games for students with a valid Ignited Card.
