PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - (EETV) Moments after the first-ever Woman's Royal Rumble match, former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey made her appearance in Philadelphia and, according to WWE, has signed a full-time contract with the company.
Ronda Rousey is no stranger to the WWE and its fans.
A few months ago, Rousey made an appearance at the Mae Young Classic, the inaugural women's wrestling tournament, where she was seen in the crowd supporting one of MMA's "Four Horsewomen" Shayna Baszler.
Rousey, who was also a Horsewoman, was joined by Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke.
In 2015, Ronda also made an appearance at Wrestlemania 31 alongside The Rock to take down Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. The two exchanged words and Rousey proceeded to take down McMahon.
Rousey's attendance at Royal Rumble was a shock to many. There was a lot of speculation about the MMA star's appearance, but many people would have believed it would have happened during the Royal Rumble match.
Ronda made her way down to the ring, while Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation" blared throughout the Wells Fargo Center, to confront RAW Woman's Champion Alexa Bliss, SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair, and first-ever Women's Royal Rumble Winner Asuka.
Rousey attempted to shake hands with Asuka, but she refused. No words were exchanged, but a simple gesture of pointing to the Wrestlemania 34 sign said it all.
Rousey then stepped out of the ring to confront Stephanie McMahon and landed the handshake despite hesitation from McMahon.
