AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- On Jan. 16, 2018, Auburn Police arrested Jaken Dowdell, age 20, Martavious Dowdell, age 20, both from Auburn and Tevin Calloway, age 25, from Opelika. All three suspects were charged with three counts of Robbery First Degree, Possession of Marijuana Second Degree, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Calloway was also charged with Carrying a Pistol without a Permit.
At about 5:30 a.m., Auburn Police responded to a robbery call at a residence in the 700 block of Aspen Heights Lane. According to the victim, three males who had been at their residence earlier, returned armed with handguns took cash and electronics totaling over $2,000 and fled. No injuries were reported.
Further investigation resulted in Jaken Dowdell, Tevin Calloway and Martavious Dowdell being identified as involved in the robbery. An officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle the suspects were seen traveling in and took them into custody; marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a handgun were located resulting in additional charges being filed.
Jaken Dowdell and Martavious Dowdell remain in custody in the Lee County Jail on $302,000 bonds while Tevin Calloway is being held on a $305,000 bond.
