AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- There have been several changes in the parking in the Auburn University leased lots and at the Lowder Lot. Auburn Parking Services wanted to make sure that you are aware of these changes so that you do not receive a ticket or that you are not towed.
Auburn University has leased spaces in the lot behind the old Tiger Rags store and they have been zoned for A parking. The spaces that we are entitled to park in have “AU LEASED” painted on the ground of each space. The owner of the property has placed signs on the wall of the spaces that we are not entitled to use. In addition there are three visitor/guest spaces in that lot that A zone parking cannot use.
Auburn Parking Services has also leased spaces in the lot behind Chick-Fil-A off of Magnolia Avenue. The entrance and exit to this lot is off of Genelda Avenue. These spaces are zoned for B parking. The spaces that Auburn parking pass holders are entitled to park in have an “AU LEASED” sign in front of the space. Any other space or area in that lot is controlled by the owner and if you park in those spaces you may get towed.
The Graduate Business Building construction project for the Harbert College of Business has reached the point to where beginning 02/05/18, the 4 spaces in the Lowder lot designated for contractor parking along the construction fence facing the construction site, and the fenced-in area (14 spaces) to the left as you enter the Lowder lot will no longer be available for faculty, staff, student, or guest parking.
This change will be in effect 24 hours / day, 7 days / week for the duration of the project.
For cars parking in these areas, they will be towed at the owner’s expense.
