Upcoming Live-Action Kim Possible Movie is in the Works

Disney Channel is Bringing Kim Possible Back

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - "Call me, beep me, if ya wanna reach me." 

Disney Channel recently announced that they will be creating a live-action version of their former hit series Kim Possible. Disney Channel is working on casting for the movie, and originally the animated series was voiced by a Disney all-star cast such as: Christy Carlson Romano (as Kim), Will Friedle (Ron Stoppable), Raven-Symoné (Monique) and Tahj Mowry as Wade. The shows hit theme song was performed by actress and singer Christina Milian. Kim Possible ran for four seasons on Disney Channel from 2002 - 2007.

This is not the first time Disney will be recreating their popular animated projects. Beauty and the Beast, The Jungle Book and Cinderella are just a few of some of their most recent live-action films. Now, their taking an animated favorite from the past and making it real. The executive vice president of original programming for Disney Channels Worldwide will be working with the cartoon's creators Mark McCorkle, Robert Schooley and a new team to make a dimensional Kim Possible possible.

Kim Possible's last episode aired over a decade ago, and there is no premiere date for the film to release. The major network released two animated movies for the series in 2003 (Kim Possible: A Stitch in Time) and 2005 ( Kim Possible Movie: So the Drama). Until then, Disney fans can rewatch the series before the reboot, and get ready for Disney's live-action versions of the classics Aladdin and Mulan.
