AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) -No. 12 Auburn will finish up their home meets this Friday, hosting their rival, No. 6 Alabama, in the Auburn Arena. The Tigers and Crimson Tide have a slated time of 7:30 CT and the meet will be broadcast on SEC Network.
"This Alabama team is as talented as they always are and will be coming in here ready to get back on their winning streak in Auburn Arena," head coach Jeff Graba explains. "My goal is that we come out and keep our focus because it is going to be a full house with a lot of energy."
All fans attending will be encouraged to wear orange to participate in the All-Orange contest. Light show wristbands will be handed out.
Friday's meet is also the team's senior night. Prior to the meet, Auburn gymnastics will recognize their two senior student-athletes, Kennedy Finister and Cara Stricklin, as well as three student managers.
Alabama holds the upper hand throughout the entire series and stands at 121-10 overall vs. the Tigers.
The last time Alabama visited the Auburn Arena (Feb. 12, 2016), Auburn broke a Tide winning streak that dated back to 1979. The Tigers defeated their visitors 197.275-197.250 in front of a sellout crowd.
