AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - While birds are a common sight across the state, a yellow cardinal spotted in Shelby County this week was a rare sighting.
Auburn biology professor Geoffrey Hill said the male bird is yellow because of a genetic mutation. The bird is still spotted in Shelby County near Thompson High School.
