AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Auburn basketball freshman guard Davion Mitchell has decided to transfer. Mitchell announced his decision to transfer Thursday evening on Twitter.

Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl released a statement following Mitchell's announcement:
“Davion is one of the most coachable players I’ve ever had. He had a great freshman season at Auburn. We wish him well moving forward.”
The 6'1 guard appeared in all of Auburn's 34 games this season. He played an average of 17 minutes per game for the Tigers, being the man behind point guard Jared Harper.
Mitchell finished the 2017-2018 season with 126 points, averaging 3.7 points per game. He also finished the season with 63 assists, second-most on the team.
