BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (EETV) - Coming off their SEC regular season championship, the conference announced three Tigers were honored for their play throughout the season Tuesday.
Guards Bryce Brown and Jared Harper were named to the All-SEC second team, while forward Anfernee McLemore was named to the All-SEC defensive team.
Brown ranked second on the team and eighth in the league in scoring, averaging 16.4 points per game. He led the league in 3-pointers, averaging 3.3 per game.
He had eight games with 20 points or more this season (Norfolk State, Winthrop, UAB, Mississippi State, Georgia, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, South Carolina).
Brown also led the Tigers defensively. He forced 86 turnovers through the 30 games this season (2.9 per game).
Harper also finishes as a top-20 scorer in the conference, averaging 13.9 points per game. He is the only player in the SEC to rank in the to in scoring, assists, free throw percentage, steals and assist-to-turnover ratio in league games.
Harper led the SEC with 15 games of seven or more assists. Off of his assists, Auburn would score 426 points.
Despite ending his season early due to injury on Feb. 17, McLemore led the conference in blocks with 73. His 73 blocks puts him in the top 20 in the country.
Auburn tied for fifth in the conference with three honors. Tennessee received the most with five, while Alabama, Kentucky and Texas A&M each receiving four. The awards were voted on by the league's coaches.
