AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - No. 11 Auburn looked to take the series from No. 16 Arkansas Saturday in a doubleheader matchup.
The Tigers entered Saturday leading the series 1-0 but would drop the first game Saturday before notching a win to close out the series.
Game two saw Arkansas jump out to an early lead with an RBI single by Autumn Buczek in the second inning.
Auburn would respond with Tannon Snow and Morgan Podany each driving in one RBI to put the Tigers up 2-1.
Arkansas would tie the game in the fourth inning off a throwing error made by Makayla Martin.The game would go to extra innings as neither team could break the deadlock.
Arkansas's A.J Belans lifted the Hogs in the 10th inning hitting a two-run home run to give Arkansas the 4-2 win. Kaylee Carlson was charged with the loss although she came in for ] Martin.
In game three, the Tigers trailed early on with Arkansas scoring a run in the first and second innings. The Auburn offense was quiet until Courtney Shea hit a two-run home run in the third to tie the game 2-2.
The Tigers would take the lead off a Kendall Veach two-run single. The hit would help Auburn take the win 4-2.
Carlson picked up the win in her last SEC regular season game, pitching five shutout innings and with three strikeouts on the night.
Auburn's record improves to 38-11 in overall and 11-9 in SEC play. The Tigers will finish the regular season next weekend traveling to Texas A&M.
