AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Workers will continue installing storm piping as part of the improvements to the intersection of Highway 14/Martin Luther King Drive and Richland Road on Monday, May 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Richland Road will be closed to all traffic at the intersection during this time. The improvements project will include widening Highway 14 to three lanes from the Shug Jordan Parkway ramp to approximately 200 feet east of the intersection of Richland Road. A right turn lane from Martin Luther King Drive/Highway 14 onto Richland Road will also be constructed.
Motorists will be detoured through Dunford Avenue and Byrd Street as shown on the attached detour map. Motorists are advised to exercise caution while driving in the area and to take alternate routes to avoid delay.
