AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn Police and paramedics responded to a fatal accident on Interstate 85 Monday morning.
According to police, a 2013 Ford Fiesta struck a 2018 Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck in the rear along the northbound lane. The Ford Fiesta then swerved off the roadway hitting a tree.
Four passengers from Duluth, Georgia were in the Ford Fiesta, two of which suffered fatal injuries in the collision. The two rear passengers were transported to area hospitals with non life threatening injuries.
The driver of the truck was not injured in the collision. Police are not identifying the victims until next of kin have been informed.
Police say that the accident remains under investigation.
