Auburn, Ala. -- On Tuesday, July 11, Auburn Police arrested two men for drug related crimes.
Cedreko Lamar Johnson, a 26-year-old man from Opelika was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and two counts of Receiving Stolen Property 3rd Degree. Dimitri Glendale Modley, a 22-year-old man from Tuscaloosa, was arrested and charged with Giving False Information to a Law Enforcement Officer.
On Monday, July 10, police received a suspicious incident call at 12:20 p.m. at a residence on Webster Road. Both men were contacted at the residence. In the residence and a vehicle at the residence, police found two stolen handguns, marijuana, methamphetamine, cocaine, Xanax and $1600.
Modley was taken into custody originally for giving a false name to the officers on the scene. Johnson was taken into custody by police for and charged for possession with intent to distribute (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (one charge for Xanax, one for Cocaine) and two counts of Receiving Stolen Property 3rd Degree.
Both were taken by police to the Lee County jail. Johnson's bond is listed at $21,000 while Modley's bond is listed at $500. This case will continue to be investigated by the Auburn Police Division Narcotics Section.
