OPELIKA, Ala. (EETV)- Opelika Police are investigating two car break ins at area hotels that occurred between Monday and Tuesday.
Both break ins happened at hotels located near the Tiger Town exit off Interstate 85.
One of the break ins was reported at the Hampton Inn and Suites located on Capps Way where officers reported a first degree theft of property.
The second occurred at the Fairfield Inn and Suites located on Interstate Drive where officers reported a second degree theft of property.
Police are unsure if the break ins are related, but say that because both incidents occurred around the same time frame and in close proximity to each other there is a good indication that both were committed by the same individual.
