AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - It's been a rough few days for Auburn football and their alumni.
One day after going 0-3 on field goals, including two in overtime that could have won the game for the Minnesota Vikings against the Green Bay Packers, the team announced that they have severed ties with kicker Daniel Carlson.
Carlson who looked solid throughout preseason and week one in the NFL season going 1-1 against the San Francisco 49ers in week 1 and 4-6 throughout the entire preseason without missing an extra point.
The Vikings announced after cutting Carlson that they had signed free agent kicker, Dan Bailey who is the second most accurate kicker in NFL history who in his career is 186-211 with a percentage of 88.2.
Carlson will become a free agent and look to sign with another team during the season.
