Auburn, Ala (EETV)- Auburn Soccer senior Ashton Brock was named to the SEC Community Service team, the conference announced Tuesday.
The SEC Community Service Team brings light to an athlete from each school who has given back to their community in extraordinary ways. This year is the 14th year the of the team.
Even though the Dade City, Florida native has missed the 2018 season due to injury, she is still a big part of the team especially from a leadership perspective.
Off the field, Brock has served as a member of the Auburn CONNECT Leadership Program since May 2017, a program intended to help student-athletes transition into a healthy and fun life in auburn, and has taken her leadership skills to this program as well. She has embraced her role as the program's Executive Student Assistant Director from June 2017 to January 2018 and the Executive Director from January 2018 to the present.
She has also helped organize and staff Auburn Ignite for the last two years. Auburn Ignite is a night of worship sponsored by the Auburn Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Brock has been a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success since January 2017 and maintains active membership of Church of the Highlands. Brock has helped maintain homes as a part of Serve Day and has made trips to Columbus, Georgia, to help provide for those less fortunate.
