AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn City Councilman Ron Anders has been declared the winner of Auburn's mayoral runoff election.
Anders beat community resident David Hill garnering 54.2% of the vote.
Following his win, Anders thanked his supporters and voters through a tweet reading, "Hey Auburn- we did it! Let’s Do This Together!Thank you to everyone!"

Hill congratulated Anders on his win writing in a Facebook post, "Congratulations to Ron Anders. Well run campaign. Take good care of our Auburn."
Prior to his run for mayor, Anders served as the councilman for Ward 2. Anders also currently serves as the Director of Special Projects for the Tailgate Guys company.
Anders will succeed longtime Mayor Bill Ham who decided not to run for reelection.
