AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Tipoff at Toomers has been canceled due to weather concerns, Auburn Athletics announced Tuesday morning.
The event was scheduled to be the first of its kind in Auburn, with a full size basketball court being put on Toomers Corner. Auburn students were scheduled to participate in 3-on-3 games before the men's basketball team took the court at 8 p.m. The SEC Network was scheduled to broadcast the event. Tiger Talk had a live radio broadcast planned to air from the court.
There's no plan to reschedule the event.

"Tipoff at Toomer's, scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 11, has been canceled due to the expected impact from Hurricane Michael.
Following the State of Emergency issued Monday by Governor Kay Ivey, the previously planned outside event at iconic Toomer's Corner presented safety concerns for fans, public safety personnel and those who were scheduled to set up the event Wednesday evening.
There is no makeup date for the event and the event will not be moved indoors to Auburn Arena.
Fans can catch the Tigers on the court Nov. 2 for an exhibition against Lincoln Memorial at 7 p.m. CT. The season begins Nov. 6 against South Alabama at 8 p.m. CT inside Auburn Arena."
