AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Democratic nominee for Alabama governor and current Tuscaloosa mayor Walt Maddox made a visit to Auburn University Monday as part of his statewide bus tour.
Maddox discussed several points on his platform including expanding the federal Medicaid program, supporting a state lottery and increasing infrastructure spending in the state.
The mayor faces current Alabama governor Kay Ivey in the November 6 general election.
According to an analysis by Five Thirty Eight, a national polling organization, Maddox has a less than a two percent chance of defeating Ivey in the general election.
