Toronto, Canada (EETV)- Auburn's Eduard Julien was recently named player of the year by Canadian Baseball Network.
Julien was a first place vote on 43 of 52 ballots by scouts, executives, coaches, and writers. He was also voted designated hitter on the CBN All-Canadian Team.
In his freshman year, Julien led the Tigers with 17 home runs and an SEC leading 69 RBI's. His RBI total broke Frank Thomas's freshman record in 1987.
Julien earned Freshman All-American and SEC honors with four Auburn players which was the most in the country.
Auburn Baseball opens their season with a three game series against Georgia Southern on February 15-17.
