Auburn, Alabama (EETV)- The Auburn Tigers showcased their offensive talents at home by defeating Mississippi College 103-52.
The game was never in doubt, but the Choctaws of Mississippi came within 11 points with 17:37 left in the second half. After that the Tigers never looked back outscoring Mississippi 52-12 the rest of the game.
Austin Wiley is looking more comfortable with each possession, finishing with a team-high 18 points and shooting 8-10 from the free throw line.
It looked as if Auburn could not miss during an impressive 35-0 run in the second half putting the game out of reach for good.
The bench played a key role in the win, scoring half of Auburn's total points with 52 and while they only shot 8-30 from the 3-point line, the Tigers scored the majority of their points in the paint with 56.
Auburn will now look ahead to the Maui Invitational as they face off against Xavier in the first round. The game is scheduled for Nov. 19 and tip-off is at 1:30 p.m.
