AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Former White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs spoke to students Thursday night as part of the Emerge Delta Speaker Series.
Gibbs, who served during the first term of former President Barack Obama and currently serves as the executive vice president and global chief communications officer of McDonald's, was born and raised in Auburn.
The talk focused on his path to the White House press room and some stories from his time as an early staffer in Obama's U.S. Senate office.
The event concluded with several student questions including one asking Gibbs what was his favorite item on the McDonald's menu.
The Emerge speaker series will continue on January 17 with a talk by Tim Tebow.
