AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn University's National Pan-Hellenic Council is advocating for a new legacy plaza on campus.
Student Government Association Senator Ada Ruth Huntley introduced a resolution during Monday's meeting advocating for the plaza.
The resolution reads, "National Pan-Hellenic Council legacy plazas are found on college campuses across the country, particularly historically black colleges and universities, in order to recognize the role these organizations have played in enhancing campus culture."
Outgoing NPHC President Julius Hammond said that the plaza is still in the planning stages and that the resolution is a way to show student support for the project.
Ole Miss is currently the only Southeastern Conference university to have a NPHC plaza.
