Auburn, Alabama (EETV) - The Auburn Tigers defeated Missouri 92-58 to snap their three game losing steak. This win was the largest margin of victory in Auburn Arena history.
The Tigers had a slow start, only leading by three at half, but came out strong the second half and put up 58 points.
Key players in this win were Jared Harper, Chuma Okeke, and Bryce Brown. Harper had 16 points while Okeke and Brown both tacked on 14. Okeke also had 12 rebounds (creating a double-double), 4 assists, and a field goal percentage of .625.
Another player that shined tonight was Danjel Purifoy. While only having 8 points, he was a key player that came off the bench after missing the last 3 games. Purifory stated, "It was a little frustrating being gone but I'm happy to be back with my team."
A factor that contributed to this win was that Auburn forced 20 turnovers and scored 28 points off those turnovers.
Head Coach Bruce Pearl was happy with the win and how his players performed. He even stated , "Chuma was the player of the game in my opinion."
This win pushed Auburn to 14-6 overall and 3-4 in SEC play.
