AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- District 3 Congressman Mike Rogers commended President Donald Trump's address to the nation Tuesday night regarding the immigration crisis at the southern border.
"There is an ongoing crisis at the southern border and I commend President Trump’s efforts to secure the border," stated Rogers. "We know that walls work in preventing illegal immigration, which is why I support additional funding for border security."
Democrats have pushed back on the Trump administration's efforts to gain funding for a border barrier between the United States and Mexico, with Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi calling the wall "immoral."
Rogers, who represents the Auburn area, serves as the lead Republican on the House Homeland Security Committee.
