Auburn, AL (EETV)- Plainsman Park has been open extra long for the past two games as Auburn defeated Georgia Southern 4-3 in another marathon game.
Auburn made another comeback effort as Edouard Julien tied the game with an inside the park home run in the seventh inning.
Auburn took a 3-2 lead in the eighth inning as Rankin Worley drove in the go ahead run with a single.
Georgia Southern responded with a run in the ninth to send the game to extra innings for the second straight day.
In the top of the 12th, Georgia Southern threatened, but Auburn's Steven Williams made a diving grab to keep the game tied.
In the bottom of the 13th, Auburn loaded the bases, giving Ryan Bliss a chance to win the game. Bliss watched four balls go by to score the winning run.
Jake Owen picked up the win on the mound as he threw 4 scoreless innings with four strikeouts.
Auburn has now won 11 straight in the non-conference dating back to 2016.
Auburn is now 2-1 and they return Wednesday against Alabama A&M at 4 PM.
