AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- Auburn's Richland Elementary School was named to the 2018 Alabama Safe Schools Initiative Award of Excellence list by Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall Tuesday.
The school was one of over 90 nominated for the award and was selected by a panel of independent judges.
“In these times, we are all intensely aware of the serious responsibility our schools carry for the safekeeping of our children,” said Marshall.
The award will be presented by Marshall at the school in the coming weeks.
