AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn University's Campus Safety and Security department sent out an alert to the Auburn community today stating that a female student reported that she had been sexually assaulted earlier this week.
This female student reports that an acquaintance forcibly fondled her and attempted to rape her at an apartment leased by an Auburn-affiliated entity.
The announcement included that 90 percent of sexual assaults on college campuses are committed by acquaintances and encourages victims to reach out for help.
