AUBURN, Ala. -- The Tiger Transit rape case reached a verdict on Monday, March 4, 2019.
Tony Patillo, the former tiger transit driver who was charged with rape and sodomy of a freshman Auburn University student in the fall of 2017, was found guilty on all charges.
The case began last Monday, Feb. 25, at the Lee County Justice Center in Opelika. Testimonies took place beginning on Wednesday and continuing through Friday.
Patillo also faces a charge of one count of public lewdness. He is scheduled to be sentenced on April 24, 2019. He will be facing at least ten years in prison for these charges.
