Auburn, AL (EETV)- After a back and forth game at Plainsman Park, the Auburn Tigers came through with a Conner Davis walk-off single in the tenth inning to clinch the series win against Ole Miss.
The Tigers had struggled to produce all weekend as Ole Miss had shut them down with their strong pitching rotation. The Rebels struck early as Grae Kessinger hit a solo shot in the top of the 1st inning.
Auburn got the bats going in the third inning as Edouard Julien doubled to give the Tigers a 3-1 lead.
In the fifth inning, Ole Miss tied the game at three with Kessinger's second home run of the game.
Auburn responded in the seventh inning Ryan Bliss hit an RBI single to give Auburn a 4-3 lead.
Down to their last three outs, Ole Miss's Cooper Johnson hammered a solo home run to send the game to innings.
In the tenth inning the Rebels took the lead as Tyler Keenan chopped a ball down the first base line to score the go ahead run.
Auburn came right back loading up the bases with no outs. Judd Ward reached on a fielder's choice as Matt Scheffler beat the throw at home plate.
Conner Davis came up and hit the game winner to give Auburn a 6-5 victory.
The Tigers improve to 26-14 (10-8 SEC) and they will travel to Jacksonville State on Tuesday night before going fifth-ranked Vanderbilt next weekend.
