AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - Auburn Officer William Buechner was honored Friday afternoon in a funeral service at Auburn Arena.
Mayor Ron Anders, Reverend George Matheson, Auburn Police Chief Paul Register, Auburn Officer Bradley Henderson and Pastor Brandon Isbell spoke at the service. Hundreds of police officers from around the region attended the ceremony.
Buechner was then transported in a procession to Town Creek Cemetery, where a private burial was held.
Buechner is survived by his wife and two children.
