AUBURN, Ala. (EETV) - The new five-level, 600-space parking deck on South College Street will open Monday, July 1.
It includes fives sections for guests of The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center, as well as Auburn University.
The first level will be used for valet by the hotel. Levels two and three, as well as the ramps leading up to them, will be included in the university's A-Zone parking. Levels four and five, along with their ramps, are for hotel guests who will enter through the gate with their room key.
The hotel will monitor the first, fourth and fifth levels of the parking deck, and Auburn University will monitor levels two and three. The City of Auburn will control street parking.
Streetscape improvements are being made in addition to the construction of the parking deck. They will allow for wider and more accessible sidewalks through the area and a median and crosswalk across South College Street to provide safety for those walking to campus.
The parking deck was approved in April 2018 as a way to improve parking in the northeast section of campus.
