AUBURN, Ala. - Steven Williams, sophomore outfielder, has been named the Perfect Game/Rawlings National Player of the Week.
This is Williams' first time to earn the recognition, which comes after his performance in the Atlanta Regional last weekend at Georgia Tech’s Russ Chandler Stadium.
Williams was also named the Atlanta Regional Most Valuable Player after scoring three runs, hitting two home runs and a double, and driving in 10.
The Auburn Tigers will face North Carolina this weekend in the Chapel Hill Super Regional, their second straight super regional.
