Auburn's Offensive Dominates in 116-70 Win Over CSUN

AUBURN, Ala (EETV) - The No. 23 ranked Auburn Tigers hosted the CSUN Matadors Friday night for Game One of the Legends Classic. The Tigers had a strong win, defeating CSUN 116-70.

The Tigers dominated offensively, starting the game with an 11-0 run. This offensive dominance continued the whole game, as the Tigers scored 66 points in the first half alone.

Many players contributed to the success of the Tigers Friday night win, but the three that stand out the most are Samir Doughty, Isaac Okoro, and J’Von McCormick.

Doughty had 33 points, with 22 in the first half, which was a career-high. Doughty also had eight rebounds and three assists.

It’s safe to say freshman Isaac Okoro is already comfortable at Auburn. Okoro had 17 points and five rebounds. Okoro also laid down some impressive dunks in Friday’s matchup against CSUN.

Head Coach Bruce Pearl spoke about the freshman saying, “He has been good since the day he stepped on campus. He’s been the most consistent and is very unselfish.”

McCormick had himself a night as well, breaking the Auburn single-game record of assists with 16.

This win moves to the Tigers to 4-0. Auburn will be back in action Monday, Nov. 18 against Colgate in Auburn Arena. Tip-off will be at 7 p.m. CT. and the game can be found on SEC Network.
