Auburn, Ala. (EETV) The Division 1 Top 25 preseason rankings have just been released as the countdown to opening day begins. The Auburn Tigers will enter their 2020 season ranked 22nd in the nation under head coach, Mikey Dean.
Last year, Dean lead his Auburn ladies 39-21 on the year, and eventually its sixth consecutive NCAA Regional appearance. The Tigers are projected to finish 11th in the SEC this season, with Alabama as the frontrunner and Mississippi State and Texas A&M tied for last.
Auburn looks to stay in the rankings as they take on Baylor in Clearwater, Fla. in the NFCA Leadoff Classic on Friday, Feb. 7. The first pitch will be thrown at 11 a.m. CT.
After a full weekend of back-to-back games, the Tigers travel back home to face Kennesaw State at Jane B. Moore Field on Thursday, Feb. 13.
