Diversity thought leader for Twitter to speak at Auburn's Diversity Promising Practices Conference

AUBURN, Ala. (EETV)- For Two-days Twitters Diversity Leader, Candi Castleberry Singleton will speak at Auburns Diversity Promising Practices conference.

On Feb. 10-11, Candi Castleberry Singleton, Twitter's vice president of Diversity Partnership Strategy and Engagement, is set to speak during Auburn's Diversity Promising Practices Conference. The annual conferences will be held at the Dixon Conference Center. This year's theme will be "An Inspired Pathway: Pursuing Leadership Intelligence Through Inclusion."

At Twitters Diversity Partnership Strategy and Engagement department, Singleton focuses on partnering with organizations to help advance collaboration and inclusivity throughout the industry and community as a whole. Singleton has a bachelors degree from University of California, Berkeley, a Master of Business from Pepperdine University, and acted as an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University.

Her impact is evident as she is the founder of the Dignity & Respect Campaign, a movement that has helped organizations create diverse and inclusive work environments. As seen in her chapter of "Crossing the Divide: Intergroup Leadership in a World of Difference," Singleton created The Bolt-On to Built-In Model™. Her successful ideas and strategies can be seen in multiple technologies, telecommunications, and healthcare for companies like Xerox, Sun Microsystems, Motorola, and UPMC.

Taffye Benson Clayton, Auburn University's associate provost and vice president for Inclusion and Diversity, said, "We are thrilled to have such an outstanding industry leader speak to our conference attendees to empower organizations with effective strategies in embracing inclusive and diverse environments."

The two-day conference is designed to help faculty and administrators in higher education, diversity and inclusion directors, chief diversity officers, public and nonprofit employees, corporate professionals, and Human Resources personnel. However, it is open to all of the public and provides opportunity's to increase awareness about diversity and inclusion strategies in today's global economy.
